| A Cream Dachshund
Many people do not like the emphasis placed on color, but we happen to have fallen head over heals with the excellence of the English Cream Miniature Dachshund. The information contained within these pages are just that "simply Information" and is not meant to place a "Special" or "Rare" status on color but rather to help educate puppy people on the temperament and/or qualities of True Type English Cream Miniature Dachshunds. Our primary focus in selecting a Miniature Dachshund for our Breeding program is their conformation and temperament. Which is why we take Great effort in our selction of our Dams and Sire who are the Future of our Vom Daxi Haus lildoxis. You can always breed color into a line however you must first start with excellent conformation! CONFORMATION before COLOR! Sincerely, Mark and Jacqulyn Waggoner Breeding AKC Champion Dachshunds for: Soundness of Mind, Body, Type, and Structure since 1995 |

| Sarenity turns heads at Westminster
Dog, owners represented Green Bay at 135th event By Kendra Meinert • kmeinert@greenbaypressgazette.com • February 20, 2011 Not only did Mark and Jacqulyn Waggoner of Green Bay show one of their dogs at Westminster Kennel Club, they showed off their Green Bay Packers colors, too. Both proved to be a hit with the crowds at America's top dog show on Monday and Tuesday in New York. The Waggoners, who have been showing dogs for 12 years, participated in their first Westminster by entering Sarenity. The 2-year-old Shaded English Cream Miniature Dachshund made the first cut of 22 dogs in her group, where she was the only blond dachshund in the competition, Jacqulyn said. While Sarenity didn't make it to the final best-of-seven ring, she certainly gained a lot of fans at Westminster. "She created an absolute hoopla. Everyone was just amazed, because most people have never seen a cream before,'' Jacqulyn said. "I can't tell you how many people stopped to say, 'We saw her, and we were rooting for.' It was just really very special.'' The Waggoners, who were sporting Packers colors and had "Green Bay'' listed on the information on Sarenity's kennel, also couldn't believe how excited people were to learn they were from the home of the Super Bowl XLV champs. Writers from both The New Yorker and New York magazine were among the many people who asked the couple about the Packers and Titletown. "Everybody was just so excited we were from Green Bay, Wis.,'' Jacqulyn said. "Very brightly colored we were.'' Sarenity was one of nearly 2,600 dogs who competed in 179 breeds and varieties. Like every other purebred dog at the 135th annual event, she has the abbreviation "Ch" before her name to indicate she already has been a champion elsewhere. Her official entrant name: Ch Wroyal Sarenity Vom Daxi Haus MLC (Miniature Longhair Cream). A third generation of the Waggoners' breeding, Sarenity became a champion after only two shows last summer. "She's a very special girl,'' Jacqulyn said. "Being at Westminster and having people be able to stop and see her and hold her was amazing.'' Through their Green Bay business, Vom Daxi Haus, the Waggoners have been raising English Cream Miniature Dachshunds for nearly 15 years. They have sold the breed to people across the country as well as Sweden, Chile, Iceland, Russia and Canada. While smooth dachshunds can be a little more standoffish and leery of strangers, Jacqulyn said longhairs are more calm and very much a family pet. Creams are considered to be even one step more lovely than longhairs — truly a 24/7 companion, she said. She likes to tell people that when a longhair looks at you, they love you, "but when a cream looks at you, they are in love with you.'' Being ringside at Madison Square Garden for all the action, including the chance to videotape Sarenity as handler Marietta Singleton presented her, was every bit as exciting as the event looks on TV. "It is electrifying,'' Jacqulyn said. "It's just so amazing, because you're seeing the world's top dogs there.'' The Waggoners hope to be among that group again next year. |

February 16th, 2011 Words by: Jada Yuan Photo: Jim Kiernan The Dogs and Humans of the Westminster Kennel Club Show "They say if a dog and a human love each other enough, they'll start to look alike. And if there's one thing you can say about the owners at the Westminster Kennel Club show, which ended yesterday with the triumph of Hickory Wind the Scottish Deerhound, it's that they love their dogs very, very much. Whether the dogs love them back is harder to tell. We sent a reporter and photographer backstage for the past two days to investigate. What they found was a mess of licking, strange hairdos, and ennui. " Sarenity, English Cream Miniature Dachshund Humans: Mark and Jacqulyn Waggoner Fun Fact: Despite their similarity in hair color, Sarenity and Jacqulyn do not use the same shampoo. “We do sell the only certified organic hair shampoo for pets, though," Jacqulyn says. |
